Happy Chinese New Year

I am feeling more and more excited about my bangkok trip as the date is drawing near. I hope it can be a fulfiling eating and shopping trip. I just came back from my swimming session and is dead tired. Today's mum cooked dinner and dinner was fantastic! Mum cooked curry fish head and served dinner with my favourite "bah kua" ... hmm ... yummy. Now I am going to take a good rest and watch my 40 episode vcds.

Has been busy for the whole morning helping out mum doing marketing at the market, later on help out with the home decorations and cleaning. It's a whole list of unfinished jobs. Haiz... didn't have the mood to open my books since the festive mood is so high now. Tmrw will be new year's eve. So have you all finish all your last minute shopping? I am so excited about shopping in Bankgkok now. Thinking of the long list of wants to bring back from Bangkok.

Hehe... and I am going to try some very exotic food...like I've told my friends. Will update the photos when I'm back! Happy New Year everyone! Hope this "woofing" year will be bring all of us good luck and prosperity!

Here's a card for everyone:

Last Minute Work-Outs... Hope It Helps

These few weeks I have been into working out my body. All of you must be sure to know the reason why. Chinese New Year is coming and most of us, especially gals will hate to hear relatives commenting that you look fatter or rounder. Arh ha.. That's why I have been working hard to burn more carbos before the festive season. Moreover, I will be traveling. That makes me even more worried about putting on weight.

Really thanks to my OT classmate, Dawn, who gave me 2 complimentary passes to Amore fitness. I went for an aerobic lesson for beginners and it was very fun. The steps and moves were energetic and is a combination of dance and aerobics. Later part of the session includes some stretching and toning exercises for the thighs and abdoment. The lady instructor was very friendly and keep checking if me and my friend can catch up with the pace. Can feel that I have burnt many calories last night. I wanted intensive work-out mah, so I continued with 20 minutes of gym before I left for a bath. The facilities there were quite good, with lockers, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers and steam bath available. Good think is the receptionists were friendly and not pushy. They did not push me to sign up their plans. I was there around 6.30pm and left around 10pm, exhausted and tired.

Watched fearless "Huo Yan Jia" with crappy today. The show was about martial arts and it's violent. I like watching people fight, until I saw blood and feel uncomfortable in the stomach when more blood came out of the Lee Lian Jie's mouth. Wah, think cannot stand watching blood coz it reminds me of the incident that happen to me one week ago. It reminds me of my gums bleeding non-stop. Wah....gross man. Nevertheless, it was a nice show and didn't regret watching it.

Back To Giving Chinese Tuition Again

After a night's careful and thorough thought, I have decided to continue teaching tuition again. Although the exam dates are drawing near, but I think it shouldn't be too much a problem. It's better than slacking at home bah. Many, many reasons why I come to this decision.

Anyway, the kids has yet to find a new tutor. So it would be great to see them again. Just called their mum. Heard from her that Catheline is having problem with her studies, especially essay writing. I am quite worried for her as she's my first student. I am so excited to see them next week, when I hear Catheline jumping for joy excitedly, over the phone when she heard her mum says I'll be back. I hope I am not going spoil my image this time, and hopefully won't be too fierce to them this time round.

You know, teaching the Chinese Language can be of very high self-fulfilment and satisfaction, especially to the younger generations who do not know a single Chinese word. Recapturing the past memories of how I taught these 2 kids Chinese, nearly gave a heart-attack! They did not know anything chinese language and culture. When talking to them, they looked at me as though I was an alien. This spurred me to try harder, teaching them sing songs, read storybooks & poems, educate them on Chinese legends during festive seasons and buy them gifts to motivate them. Of course, it's not all my credit, but their mum's strong moral support as well. She's a very supportive mum, who doesn't pamper her children. I was given the authority to scold and beat them. But I never lay my hands on them as they are so.... LOVELY! It was all so fun teaching them.

Next Monday is our first lesson. Hmm... I am looking forward to see them.

I Am No More "Ti ki" (To Be Read In Hokkien)

I took off my braces yesterday!!!!! For 2 and a half years, I've been waiting for this magical moment. Now my teeth is looking neat and tidy... hehe!

On the other hand, I am not sure if I should be happy, because it is so torturous and troublesome! My experience at the dental centre yesterday was even more scary than the initial stage when I put it on. Didn't dare eat anything for the entire day until dinner. Sipei and Zhenhui, if you are reading this, please take note, k. The cleaning was extremely painful. Lots of blood. OMG, last night was even more terrible. I start to panic when I realise that one back tooth, where the ring was placed in the past was bleeding non-stop. No matter how many times I gently brush them and rinse my mouth, blood just keep oozing out. I felt so terrible and worried. Couldn't sleep well last night as I keep waking up to clear the blood.

I wake up very early in the morning and quickly rush to the dental for professional help. I am now feeling rather upset than the initial excitement about removing it. Eating is no longer an enjoyment. In fact I am scared to eat. I am so afraid that I will dirty my newly polished teeth. So will be taking extra-care of it as I heard many people can get gums infections during this period.

Today will be staying at home studying my ESAP as I have barely touched this subject since I have been concentrating on the other heavy modules. Should have time to watch an episode of VCD, the one screened on channel U on saturday nights. Hope my teeth wouldn't be giving me anymore trouble.

A special section (^^) for you

Haha...yah, copycat? I know. I am leaving a special section for you too. You bluff me lol, actually I don't really understand what you write also, so chim, must explain to me next time. Don't worry about being too noisy. Think it can be sometimes quite entertaining. Yah, me lobster rite! Sure, I am all prepared for the canopywalk! Going to be brave and not be afraid. Thanks for teaching me how to blade! Lets study hard together! Jia you!

Btw, something interesting to share, I saw Liang Yee, a finalist contestant of Superhost, at the school canteen yesterday. She's really popular, still have people shouting her name or "F5" right across the canteen, like a star idol. The playful side of my mind makes me tempted to join Superband. :p But no lah...better not go there "lao kui". While looking at the thin-framed, pretty lady, I also met Marcus, a polymate. He has changed at lot, gained some weight and not like last time, so skinny and small framed. So glad to see so many familiar faces in SIM this year, not like the last few years, it's like totally new environment with all new faces.

My PC has just woken up from a deep sleep.

I spent hours scanning and troubleshooting to get it back in shape.

For 2 weeks, it has been so torturous, not able to go online.

Felt so lonely without the internet.

Finally has to resort to reformatting the whole PC.

Luckily it's fine now.

The beginning of year 2006 has made me starting to look forward for exams.

Last week, the exam timetable was OUT!

Guess what? My timetable was horrible, freaking me out.

3 papers in a row
2 papers in a day, and another one on the following morning

The thought of traveling to Singapore Expo makes me

Errrrrrrr! hate it man!

Time really flies.

mock exam’s on its way after CNY and eventually.

the actual one that I’m anxiously anticipating.

Hmm, have to ask mummy buy more chicken of essences to stock-up then.

One good news to announce!

Yeah, I’m finally removing my braces!!!!!!

I’m so glad to hear from my dentist that I can remove it before CNY comes!

Hulalala….lalala…lalala! Can be pretty pretty le..

I’ll be wearing my new retainer soon.

Hopefully I can get use to wearing it and not affect my speech.
