My head is spinning... it's a terrible headache.

It has been like that the whole afternoon.

Guess it must be the hot weather.

Mood is bad with the terrible headache.

Just received a piece of good news from my colleague.. She's happy for me that I can sign the papers next week.

Still.. there are a lot of things on my mind.

I am trying to fully utilise these 2 weeks to make plans and carry out things which I didn't have the time to do them.

Registered for kickboxing sessions with Zhiyi.

Still in the midst of planning taking up keyboard sessions with kristal since I couldn't find anyone to learn salsa with me. :(

But I am glad that things have moved on and I am coping well.

Hope that I can make use of these 2 weeks to catch up with my friends.

Helped out Esther and Joeson at their wedding banquet yesterday.

It was held at Mount Faber Safra Club.

Karen and I shared a cab and was early to see the bride.

We are so glad that they are finally getting married after so many years of courtship.

We were there to help her out at the reception to allocate seats.

The couple was so nervous.. and kept running around to brief everyone.. making sure that everyone knows what to do.

It was my 2nd time to help out at wedding dinner.

The crowd came at around 7.30pm and it was at a mess as everyone kept asking you which table do they sit.

After a while, it became quite used to asking the guests the same set of questions :

"Nan fang hai shi nu fang?",
"Peng you hai shi qing qi?",
"Jiao she me ming zi?",
"Jia che ma?"...

It was until almost 8.45pm when we finally finish with all those process and proceed with the main dinner.

Well, the dinner was sort of a catch up session with the polymates. Know what? I came to know that I had 2 fans already... haha! That's really funny... Esther's 2 younger sisters were so cute to keep calling me "Wu xu ma li"! Hai...
It's my 2nd last day with the HR Team. Well, so glad that they had a farewell lunch with me. We had a Theme lunch on Friday - The Red Day! All of us joked that we are going to wear red on Friday.. and turned out everyone was so on.. Even my boss wore red T-shirt for lunch. Hee.. we had the set lunch at Breeks, and guess what, the restraunt deco are all red too! Cool!

I really enjoy myself throughout these few months.. as they were all so nice people. So glad to be the youngest around. Felt so sad to move downstairs next week. It's a new beginning to start understanding and meet new people around me. Luckily I have one week to take a rest and get ready to face the new challenge.

Friday night was out at Esplanade again to watch the Forbidden City. I was there with my HR team colleagues for the spanish reception dinner. It was my first time to represent the team and attend such functions. Thought the dress code for the night is smart casual, but I see lots of people in suits and jackets. Well, felt slightly under dressed as I was in denim and red cardi. Neverthelesss, I had my colleagues' accompany so it wasn't that bad. The buffet dinner was delicious and yummy. The only dish I dislike was the tuna salard. It was too salty. There was also live performers going from table to table to sing for the guests. It was very nice to have the group of guys coming and sing beside you while having dinner. It was fun!

We proceed to the theatre after dinner. The play starts at 8pm sharp. Kit Chan's performance was marvellous. Other performers such as Hossan Leong, Juliet Pang, Leigh McDonald and Hal Fowler. The song keep ringing in my mind. The storyline made me felt so sorry for the empress as she has led a pitiful life. All she asked in the palace was the emperor's love and in return she was dumped aside after getting pregnant. The worst part is the ending when his son died. Kit Chan was successful in a way that she potrayed the gentle side of Ci Xi when she was younger and how she turned into a ruthless and cruel woman due to the circumstances she was in. It was a tiring night after a long day.

I was given some tickets to watch the theatreworks "DIASPORA" at Esplanade. Though it was kinda of a last minute thing and it's a new experience to watch the 2 hours docu-performance, based on the Chinese saying "To seek a better life by crossing the Four Seas".

This performance was brought by DBS Bank, staged at the Esplanade Concert Hall, performed by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra and the main actors. Diaspora is an intercultural, interdisciplinary production with a strong Asian focus. It highlights issues concerning globalisation, and the formation of new cultural roots. All I can say is, I am proud of the SCO. They are really very professional musicians. Enjoyed their music very much. Storyline wise, I personally do not like it.. find it crappy.. especially the last part where the Navin came out to look for people who has the same name as him. It simply break off from the entire performance. Seems like an indian movie. Most of the performance was about the difference Chinese in other Asian countries.

The day was extremely tiring. Reached home and immediately drop dead in bed!

Participated in Fear Factor today at lunch!

Yah.. it was unintended.

I was at Marina square for lunch.. and halfway through my wonderful meal,

I discovered a disgusting cockroach inside my curry chicken!!!

Oh man! I immediately stopped eating and spitted out the potato in my mouth.

Well, luckily I was successful in demanding a refund.

Eee... never eat there ever again!

A piece of good news to share.

Yes.... finally gotten a full-time position.

Though it was not the perfect job that I wanted, but I believe time will allow me to grow and be exposed more to the corporate world.

At least I can settle down with many things I want to do.

Feeling excited by the activities coming on next few weeks.

Gonna watch The Forbidden City next Friday!

Yeah.. Front seats somemore.. so excited..

Also the Global Volunteer day thingy coming up...

Still can't decide whether to participate.

I am just worried that I couldn't cope with the kids.

But think I don't mind going and have fun..

:P

I joined the queue this year!!!

Yah, I am referring to Project Superstar 2!

I was at Toa Payoh HBD Hub on saturday morning.

Well guess wasn't good enough.. but I'll work harder and try again next year.

Didn't regret participating.

At least I won't have any regrets.

Have to thank many people..

Shannen, Kai yan, sis and Gordon for coming to support me.

Also all friends who sms me.. to check out the results.

Especially poor Gordon, waking up so early in the morning..

and accompany me to the queue.

Thanks for being my shield, blocking me from when the camera when Quan Yi Feng walks towards our direction.

Also buying breakfast, holding umbrella, standing in the hot weather..

really appreciate it, buddy.

The situation was much better than than the male group last sunday.

I reached at 8.30am, and managed to get a queue no. by 10.30am.

Went for movie with Peg and Gordon.

Watched the Devils and the Prada.

Great show!!! then went for lunch and then report to registration after that.

Was glad that my parents came down to support me too.

That was so sweet of them..

My boss came down to support me too.

The day was tired but fun.

Made a few new friends while waiting in the queue..

Now I guess is better prepared for auditions.

Peg, Shannen, Lovell, Danny and sis waited for me to have dinner.

Peg brought us to a coffeeshop nearby for "zi cha".

We played pool after that.

It has been a long time since I played the game.

Hey... I am improving man.

Hopefully I can learn to play billard soon.

Da la....!!! I was Contestant No.1816.  Posted by Picasa

Updates for the week

Yo! KNOW WHAT?

My exam results were out last Wednesday!

I was bombarded with lots of smses in the afternoon.

Originally I was not so excited... until so many friends kept sms me

asking... when is result out huh?

Made me so nervous... anxious while on my way home from work.

Sat by the PC and checking my email.

It was until almost 9pm when the results is finally out.

Third class honours..

Expected... ok la, should be glad.

At least I finally graduated!

Karen, Dawne, Flora and Yvonne are planning for a gathering next Friday.

Hopefully can catch up more then.

Had a simple dinner at Orchard Hotel last Friday.

Yeah... I like the food there. The lamb and chicken satay is my favourite.

I was late.

Felt so guilty. Luckily Eva was not angry.

Hehe.. so touched by the wonderful arrangements she has made.

The cake...

While we were enjoying our dinner, someone sang Ah Mei's - Ting Hai!!!

Oh I love this song!!! My favourite!

Hey, I was almost sabotaged by Sis to make me sing on stage.

Thank god! They only allow guests to sing on stage after 12am.

My heart went trumphing hard when Eva walks towards the recept counter to enquire about singing on stage..

Phew!

All thanks to my "cute" sis... trying to sabotage me to sing on stage!

That's too sweet of her.

Of course, the supervisor, Rajah was also very nice.. served us durian puddings!

Wow.. and entertained us with his funny jokes.

Saturday was a shopping day!

Know wat? I overslept!

Was supposed to meet Kalyn and Kristal at 11am.

But I only woke up at 11am!

Heh... so missed out the ktv session.

Continued their 2nd half session for shopping!

Yeah, bought a nice red dress!

Cool ! First time to buy a red dress!

Felt like little red riding hood when i wear it :)

so feminine and sexy :P

Probably going to wear it for Esther's wedding 2 weeks later.

Kristal bought her sling bag.

We had dinner at Thai Express.

In the evening, we explored the new shopping area at Raffles City.

We were like 2 cuckoos... saying wah!!!!! everywhere!

There was this Japanese shop selling very kawaii stuffs... and we simply get so engrossed by the cutesy items.

There were few other stores selling quite nice and unique stuffs.

Restraunts and cafes were not too bad as well.

We sat by a mini water fountain at Mix cafe, for a rest and the ambience was so relaxed.

Both Kristal and I agree that we felt as if we were overseas.

Probably this was our 1st time there bah.

Sunday was maid day!

Yes, spend my day tidying the house and doing housework.

Dad sprained his legs today.

Just accompanied him to see the doctor.

Kinda worried for him.

Recently he's not in good health, probably because he has quitted smoking.

Realised that he has grown old.

Hai.. worried...
