My first day at work...

Yesterday was my first day at work.

Things went quite smoothly... hehe... especially my boss's sick

so "boh zeng hu" (no government).

Still manageable... the only problem is too many names to remember!

I was introduced to abt 20 people at one go... so confused and blur :p

The environment was not bad.

I was assigned to a temporary seat with window view.

Too bad... only temporary coz really beautiful scenary from 33rd storey.

I'll need to shift seat after the previous staff leaves.

My first day is basically simple orientation.



Today was a better day! I learn many new things.

Although they are difficult, but i find them challenging.

More responsibility today...beginning to worry as I am going to get

involved in a major project soon. Getting excited abt the project leh.

Luckily have kaiyan there to help me. Haha....so has been so sweet &

cute these 2 days. Today, I had lunch with a big group of colleages...

yah! 10 people! I never went out lunch with such a big group b4.

We went Arab street area for lunch at Glam cafe...had nasi lemak and

teh tareh there. After that, we went window shopping at the shophouses

there...felt like a tourist. Frankly speaking, this was my first time there.

Saw many interesting stuffs... especially at an antique shop...I discovered

many old things like the coke collections, old fridge, telephone, toys...etc.

I like the old Jazz set! Haha...quickly take a pic of it! After lunch was stress

stress and stress... hope tmrw is a better day!

SOb sOb....my eyes swollen and puffy...

Oh dear....came back home last nite almost no confidence...

Feeling worried about my eyes.

It was not so bad in the afternoon and only gotten worse

in the evening and night. Guess must be the strong fire in the

afternoon...perhaps I was hurt by the huge flames.


But no worries, I think my eyes are getting better now...but still a little

puffy and swollen. The afternoon sun was very strong. I had no choice

coz it's my ah ma's 49 days...and gotto burn lots and lots money, credit

cards, jewelleries and clothes to her. Today's flame was the stongest

compared to the previous time we burned them to her... really a lot.

9 large treasure boxes and abt 10 big bags of money... think i was

standing too near the fire and therefore hurt my eyes :(


Went orchard yesterday for a short dinner....haha....saw a few friends!

Had a nice dinner at Taka Coffeeclub. Hehe...had a wonderful time there.

I had Wasabi prawn salad and chocolate mud pie. The wasabi

made me cry leh... but the mud pie was delicious! Yummy...

Wahaha...

think i will be putting on some weight le... keep enjoying good food lately.

Sentosa

Had a day out at Sentosa!

It has been ages eversince my last visit to sentosa.

I enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing stroll by the beach.

Taking pictures and looking the people and world pass by...

I find getting ard Sentosa more inconvenient as there are no more

monorail... then we have to take the bus....which I dun really like



I had ice-cream by the beach. It was at the ice-cream stall where

mediacorp filmed the NKF's show where Joanne peh worked as a

waitress. The beach was not too crowded and I really felt peaceful

listening to the waves and looking at a cute doggy swimming by the

sea.

Slimming Coffee... Heard of that?

I was especially attracted to an advertisement on the newspaper today, featuring a Slimming and weight loss Coffee!!! I thought the person who came out with this idea is fantastic. I have been a coffee addict so far and coffee really perks up my day. I was reading this writeup article on Xando's slimming coffee while sipping my cuppa...hehe.... so tempted to give it a try man. Think will log on to FP and CC to check out with the gals' comments there before deciding whether to get it. Yes! and a piece of good news! I just received a call from the company...and I can start work next week! Lalalaaa.... getting excited now.

I was feeling moody yesterday... accompanied elin and zh to international plaza to deposit some resumes to the recruitment agencies. Not a very fruitful trip, but nevertheless met some friendly people and received some namecards. We had super late lunch almost ard 3pm at Hans opposite international plaza. I was pissed off by the rude and poor service there. Luckily I stared at the auntie with my big big eyes and she later changed her attitude immediately. I was almost going to scold her if she dares treat me with that kind of attitude further. She placed the tea on my tray with the spoon already in the cup, and without a saucer! Funny right? Haiz... i bet anyone will feel irritated by the way she serve the customers...especially if u have seen how she treated the blangadesh workers queuing up in front of us. After lunch, we went for retail therapy again! Hehe ... this time I bought a sweet pink tube from GG<5. I was looking for my office wear and managed to buy some at Tangs Studio at Paragon. The store was having 70% discount!!! Super great bargain man. Yah...It was definitely hard to resist that temptation as I really need to buy some decent office clothings. So end up buying 2 tops and 2 bottoms, with total damage: $66. Good bargain right? Met up with Biya over dinner coffeeclub after that. Haven't seen her for almost 3 weeks .... wow... miss her coz she was busy with her work recently and nvr "fan wo" mah. Was glad to hear that she's doing well with her work. I am sure she can go far with her positive attitude.

Watched Mr. & Mrs. Smith... A nice show but finds it a bit exaggerating leh... haha...but nevertheless enjoyed it as brad bitt was really handsome woh. His smile was charming and so yan dao hor. I give it a rating of 7/10...coz the story line wasn't that fantastic. Now looking forward for some movies coming on.... like Charlie and the chocolate factory and War of the Worlds.

Excited about my Job Interview Later!!!

Feeling nervous and excited about my interview later!!! This is my second interview... and will be meeting up with the director later. Well, I just hope that everything will be go on smoothly... and hopefully I can get my dream job... something that I always wanted. Haiz.... think got to be mentally prepared for more questions that he can ask.

Know wat? The director's surname happens to be the same as my ex-boss! Such a coincidence! Hopefully they do not have similar character bah... Coz my ex-boss is super duber stingy type. I hope that "ti gong" can bo bi me good luck and dearest dede can also pass his test later.

Met up with Zhiyi and Karen, my poly classmates today. Sort of decided to meet at the very last minute at Orchard for lunch and shopping together. On my way out, I was irritated by some men downstairs! Couldn't understand why they keep looking and it makes me feel so uncomfortable. Wah kaoz.....as I walked towards the main road, there was this motorbike turning towards my direction and the two guys on the motorbike whistled at me and make some funny sounds. OMG!!! It's so embarrassing leh. I couldn't care much....juz walked extremely fast and straight to the mrt station.


Didn't expect this Zhiyi who used to be a quiet gal in class to change so much, can talk so much....hahaha! As usual, it was real crowded in Orchard on a Saturday. Lots and lots of sales going on, so tempting. I was looking out for some formal office attire, went to Space, little match girl, Sense, Bysi and .... but still nothing catches my eyes. We proceed to FEP in the late afternoon after failing to get my office attire. In the end, I bought a pretty white mini skirt, and Karen managed to get a pink baby cardigan. We had a simple dinner at Pastamania and it was really enjoyable catching up with u gals. I really hope that Karen can pass her bridging econs and maths, so that we can take psychology together next semester! Then we can attend lectures together again le. Really thanks gals, u really make my day!

8th June 2005!!! Our mini party!!!

Wah...hahaha....Had a gals' night out clubbing at zouk on wednesday, with my uni friends peipei, zh, ade and my lovely sis! It's a pity Fel did not join in the fun...nvr mind nxt time we go again. Got to miss watching Superstar...but think nvr regret coz i enjoyed myself so much! It had been such a long time, ever since we gals last party together. It was very crowded and that night there were many pretty gals....wow! all dressed to kill loh!

Anyway, the drinks were quite cheap that nite as they have promo goin on. Thanks for Zh's great idea playing the game "hai dai hai dai.........!" haha....although i was new to the game, but ur actions really made me laugh throughout the nite! The music was also great and i managed to learn a few dance moves. Hehe....also quite a few stylo-milo guys there. Yah.....elin and i agreed that the guy in red, standing on the middle platform was really "macho"!

We partied all the way until almost 3am......

Madagascar!!! Yes, I juz watched it today... so cute! 

Finally watched Madagascar

Finally, I managed to catch the popular cartoon, Madagascar today!!! Haha... it was really hilarious! Kept laughing throughout the show... Overall, I like the penguins and little squirrel with big round eyes... coz they are so cute.

There were many kids at the theatre today. But somehow i think they helped to make the whole show more interesting by making lots of funny sound effects during the funny scenes. I realised that nowadays kids are living very comfortably. Most of them were having picnics at the cinema, with french fries, popcorns, burgers, coke and chips... and some even wearing the madagascar t-shirts.

Also went for my dental today. Quite disappointed as my dentist says I'll still need to wear my braces for another one or two months. I am eagerly looking forward for this day to come. Think because I have missed my previous dental appointments, this time round turns out to quite painful session for me. Oh dear, even tonight I'll have to put on the extra rubbers on. Hope I can sleep well...coz it's becoming more and more painful now...got to bear with it. :(

I am supposed to be lazying in bed on a Sunday morning... especially my exams are already over. But, it seems that I am so used to getting only a few sleep hours, and there are lots of things on my mind. Luckily my <(O_O)> darks rings weren't too bad.


Juz to keep u guys updated... I had my last paper at Expo last Friday... guess wat? I saw my poly friend Esther! It has been a long time eversince she stopped working at Lee Hwa. Haha...I actually met in the toilet! (A funny place I got to see her.) I can still recognise her voice while in the cubicles... and she was amazed by my voice recognition talent. Too bad, I was too tensed and stress up by the exam, and we didn't have time to catch up further.


The CBIS paper turns out to be quite ok for me...but generally I think it's a little harder than the previous years. The questions were phrased in a more general way and had to really understand the subject well in order to answer them well. After the exams, I really feel so great! So happy.... I went for dinner and a little shopping at Bugis with Elin. Bugis village changed a little again! More shops were extended upstairs and the shops there somehow resembles Hong kong. There are many nice clothings... Elin bought an "office looking" jacket... look a-like to mango's style. Haha...so kiasu rite... we are already looking out for office attire even before getting a job. Anyway, that was a bargain too great to miss! Plus the auntie was so friendly and nice, really enjoyed browsing at her shop.

Saturday

I started to become worried... yes... worried about job. Hope to get a job asap because my next school term will only start in September and I cannot be lofting around wasting time and doing nothing. Moreover, I will be left with 2 modules nxt semester... So intend to switch to part-time studies. Friends out there... pls keep me informed if you have any lobang k!


Spent the wonderful Saturday tidying up my room and singing my all-time favourite karaoke!


Miss some of my gfs... coz they are still having their exams. So Ah hui, ah pei & ah fel, "jia you" woh!!! Really miss hanging out with u gals coz it's always so fun and unforgettable... haha! looking forward to our mini party, rollerblade, ktv and swimming outings... :p
